Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–12 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (910) 256-2229. Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Wilmington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Seat yourself so you’re not standing around waiting for staff to acknowledge you. For a first time experience, the bartender set the bar to low service expectations as he just stared at us while cleaning glasses, though eventually (eventually) decided to say seat yourself. The one waitress seemed more preoccupied with being available for her friends in and behind the business. Wilmington has plenty of better options. We don’t plan to return.

Food was great, loved the nachos. Staff was super friendly and outside seating is perfect for dogs. 4/5 dog friendly.

My mother and I went to Slice of Life for lunch with my son who's a year old, we walked in the front door and we weren't greeted by the waitress who passed by multiple times. We waited at the front door to be seated for 5 minutes before walking to the bar and asking the bartender if we were going to get seated. We were told to sit wherever and the waitress will find us, again, we were passed by the waitress multiple times and were ignored each time. As we searched around for a table, I asked the waitress if they had any high chairs she replied with an attitude saying "yeah, they're right there" pointing to the corner and walking off to talk to her friends. We grabbed the high chair, sat outside and were perplexed by this rude interaction. We looked through the menu for a couple minutes and ultimately decided to leave and head next door to PT's Grille where we had a great lunch and top notch service. Thank you, Slice of Life, for making it an easy decision to not spend our hard earned money on a terrible experience.

Stopped in for a late lunch with my wife and daughter. Ordered a large Caesar salad and a large white pizza, well done. It wasn't too busy our order was taken quickly. The salad came out and was kind of small for three people and $10. The pizza came out hot and fresh. Looked fantastic! Crust was cooked just right. Crispy and firm. It did lack a little flavor. I'm wondering if regular pizza sauce adds the flavor I was looking for. I'm not a huge fan of white pizza. Both my wife and my daughter liked it. It was pretty good. Next time I come I'm definitely getting a pepperoni. Well done. It also had several televisions with sports on.

Cute spot Service was poor, never refilled our drinks Pizza was ok, the menu says they make the dough in house but I’m not sure if that includes individual slices. Dough was extremely tight, crust flat and had the little divets present in frozen dough…think Chuck E. Cheese but not as good.
